Graze - Vanilla Walnut Fudge

Let’s get this out of the way up front. I am not a fan of seeds. I just don’t enjoy them. When starting up my new Graze subscription I made a point of going through and binning anything with seeds in it, but this item made it through the cut. Why? It came down to the fact that they put ‘vanilla’ in front of ‘pumpkin seeds’, and so I thought I’d try it out. Spoilers, I didn’t regret it.

I would happily buy a pack of fudge pieces, pour them into my mouth, eat them, and repeat that maybe four or five times until satisfaction. So let’s take for granted the fact that I enjoyed those. What I will say is that they didn’t necessarily work with the seeds and walnuts as much as I would have hoped. Going into it I had an idea of how the textures would compliment each other, but in reality the pieces almost just get lost amongst the nuts and seeds.

To compound the texture problem the seeds were actually soft, verging on chewy. On their own, this would actually be brilliant. However, with the other elements, the crunchiness probably would have played better.

So far I’ve been pretty negative, but the snack was still very enjoyable. It was above the standard of any seed / nut mix you would pick up in a standard supermarket, and so if you usually eat that sort of stuff, you’ll want to try these out. For me though, I won’t be dying to try these again.
